Our Watermelon Ride

It was HOT. . . . but DELICIOUS !!!!

Carrie and Darrell had it all together. Watermelons on ice, ice cold water, wiping towlettes for wiping our sweaty brows and even salt for our melons.  We had the pleasure of meeting their daughter and the extremely lovely 18 mo old granddaughter, who, don't tell anyone since I said she was beautiful, but she looks like her mother who looks like her mother.   This all took place on the property of their daughter and her family located just off Longmire Rd between loop 336 and Hwy 3083. Once you turned off Longmire you were lost in the woods and no way could you realize that you were within a couple of minutes of Conroe. We had the pleasure of a Lake with ducks and oh, an alligator. This was the first thing Darrel pointed out to me, an alligator in the middle of the lake.  We enjoyed lots of shade, a beautiful day and a light breeze to compliment our event.
